International Trade

The Local Key to Unlocking Global Markets

In today's global business environment, companies can no longer depend of regional or even national markets to expand their businesses. To expand into foreign markets, businesses require technical import/export skills, market information, and an international plan.

The City of Xenia and the Xenia Economic Growth Corporation (XEGC) are extremely active in the promotion of international trade opportunities. The XEGC, in cooperation with the Greene County Department of Development regularly participate in international trade missions. The major objectives of these international trade missions are:

1. Corporate Office Visits - To meet with the officials of companies which already have an operation in the City ofÝ Xenia and/or Greene County to express appreciation for their presence and investment in our community.
2. Reverse Investment - To meet with companies that might have a future interest in a USA investment, and specifically in the City of Xenia/Greene County area or the Greater Dayton (Ohio) Region. Also, to meet with companies/organizations that may be of assistance with future contacts and meetings.
3. Industrial Support - To provide support and assistance to the City of Xenia and/or Greene County industries that may participate on the Mission.
4. International Friendship - To meet with government officials, community leaders, and local citizens to further promote communication, cooperation, and understanding between communities and countries.
